Solana is a decentralized blockchain built to enable scalable, user-friendly apps for the world. Solana went offline for seven hours after bots swamed the networks to mint NFTs. The NFT minting bots reportedly submitted more than 4 million transactions a second, generating more than 100 Gbps of traffic that crashed the network.
This is the second incident for this year where downtime has been recorded. Last year Solana suffered several hours of outage included 17 hours of outage in September.
